Xiaomi Redmi Note 17 Pro - The Next-Generation Redmi Smartphone!The lineup skips a number. Xiaomi is moving from the Redmi Note 15 to the Redmi Note 17 series, and there’s a device among them called the Redmi Note 17 Pro. Some leaks and reports have helped us make a preliminary spec sheet for this device. There’s possibly a 1.5K resolution flat AMOLED on this handset. Xiaomi is probably going to put a Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 SoC on this newcomer. The older version had a Dimensity 7400 chip, so this is an apt upgrade. The new SoC has four C1 cores at 2.4GHz. And the iGPU is new as well: Adreno. The camera they might use on the Redmi Note 17 Pro is a 50MP main shooter. That’s true at least for the Chinese version. There’s one more upgrade that keeps cropping up in reports, and that’s the battery. A 9000mAh cell could be used on the device this time. Some suggest a 10,000 mAh figure, but that’s too optimistic a number. One thing that’s practically guaranteed is the use of Android 16 Hyper OS 3 on the Redmi Note 17 Pro by default. It’s bad news for the global version, though. By the time the international launch happens, the Hyper OS 3 will be outdated. So the users will again have to use one of the promised OS updates to bring the device to Android 17. Redmi Note Pros usually fit the same segment as the Samsung Galaxy A3x and A5x devices. So the Note 17 Pro is definitely going to be challenged.
