Xiaomi Poco C81 - New Budget Handset By Xiaomi!
Poco C81 is the new replacement for the year-old hit, the Poco C71. The battery has been upgraded on the new handset. It’s a massive jump from 5200mAh to 6300mAh on the Poco C81. But the charging is still capped at 15W. Sure, the endurance has increased, but the refills have definitely slowed down. There’s bad news for shutterbugs. The older C71 had a 32MP main camera. But we hear they are now installing a 13MP camera on the C81 model, so they’ve cut back the resolution. This is still serviceable, but not exactly high-end. It’s assumed that the Poco C81 is built around Android 16 OS with Hyper OS 3. This is good news for some, bad news for others. The newcomer is supposed to have a Unisoc T7250 engine, which is not the best at handling a bloated OS like Hyper OS 3. So you are essentially kneecapping the multitasking performance for lower RAM variants. Since Redmi A7 is expected to have 4GB RAM, the Poco C81 could match that base configuration. By the way, C81 is not alone. There’s a Poco C81x variant that’s making its debut side-by-side. The official teasers have confirmed that the X version has a 5200mAh battery. Samsung has the Galaxy A07 with better performance and softwaresupport, but the C81 series is definitely a great second alternative.
