Vivo Y37 Plus - New Budget %G Smartphone!
Vivo Y37 Plus was unveiled today. It’s a budget 5G phone, but because it has 8GB RAM and 256GB storage, the price is high. The newcomer covers the basics well. It may have a weak, old-looking screen and a modest camera, but the rest of its specs are not too shabby. It’s built around an IPS LCD with a notch and a 720p HD+ resolution. It’s a 1,000-nit panel, so the brightness is not an issue. It even has a 90Hz refresh rate. Vivo Y37 Plus is also a decent performer, by the entry-level standards. It runs a Dimensity 6300 engine. That’s a 6nm SoC at 2.4GHz boost. It’s the only decent budget chip they could use to unlock 5G on this handset. There’s 8GB LPDDR4X RAM here. The storage is UFS 2.2, and the Y37 Plus comes in a single 256GB trim. The newcomer’s battery is 6,000 mAh, so it has above-average screen time. A 44W charger refills the tank here. They’ve installed a single 13MP unit on the back. It can do 10X digital zoom, but the photos will be unusable. 13MP resolution is too low to handle that kind of digital magnification. The selfie camera is 5MP. Both sides shoot somewhat usable 1080p videos. Vivo Y37+ also has a drop safety rating. Sadly, the phone is missing the waterproof IP rating. There’s an infrared remote here, and a side fingerprint reader. Samsung’s Galaxy A17 competitor has a far better camera, display, and software support in the same budget as the Vivo Y37 Plus.
