Samsung Galaxy A56 12GB - Buttery performance! A 12GB RAM variant exists for the Galaxy A56. Samsung pairs it with 256GB storage. There’s still an Exynos 1580 SoC inside this model, but the RAM upgrade leaves extra room for background tasks, so you can hop in and out of the apps without any of them restarting. Samsung Galaxy A56 is built around a 6.7” super AMOLED, by the way. That’s a 120Hz panel with FHD+ resolution. Its brightness is 1200nits HBM, which allows decent readability under the sun. There’s a layer of Gorilla Glass Victus to keep it from scratches. Three cameras lie on the back: a 50MP Main unit and a 12MP ultrawide. The third one is just a 5MP macro. All lenses are stacked in a vertical camera module. There’s also a 12MP selfie unit on the screen, in a punch hole. The WiFi is version 6e with Bluetooth 5.3. They are not the fastest, but servable. The Galaxy A56 12GB has a 5000mAh power source, and Samsung gave it 45W charging input as well. Of course, the A56 is also completely waterproof just like before. It’s rated IP67. Samsung positions this model as a mid-ranger, which is why it has an optical fingerprint on the screen, not ultrasonic. It’s a new phone, but it starts with Android 15. You have to sacrifice one of its six major updates to bring the software to Android 16. Samsung is not the only one with a 12GB RAM option in this segment. There’s plenty of competition here from global phone makers.
